For the past years, the Institute of Biological Sciences (IBS) host the University’s flag ceremony during the month of August. Unfortunately, it was always postponed due to weather conditions. After three cancelled hosting (including 2019), IBS was finally able to lead the flag ceremony on 4 November 2019.
Headed by the Research, Extension, and Professional Staff (REPS) of IBS together with faculty and administrative staff, and the University Police Force (UPF) the activity was conducted flawlessly under the scorching sun. With the very close proximity from the IBS building to the UPLB Main Library, 54 individuals from the five Divisions of IBS were present. Some of which were very excited to be there as early as 7:00 AM.
